The payroll compliance of an Organization does not end after submitting and paying relevant payroll declarations. All transactions are recorded on the Organizations SARS’ account and it remains the responsibility of the appointed Tax Representative / Public Officer to review SARS’ Statement of Account to ensure correct allocation.

In practice, majority of Organizations discover the inaccuracies or incorrect allocations on their SARS Statement of Account when applying for a Tax Clearance Certificate. These issues issues can be detrimental to the operations of the Organization as it may take months to rectify.
